On August 20, 1998, at the Riverwalk Center in Breckenridge, Jim's original band, Timberline, played together for the first time in 15 years. With Chuck Salestrom on bass, Jim on guitar and banjo, Craig Link on drums, Dugg Duggan on guitar and mouth harps, and Don Garberg filling in for the late Bill Howland on keyboards, the band thrilled a sold out audience with some of their original music and some of Jim's later songs in the first set of the show. The second set was a tribute to the music of John Denver and featured special guests John Sommers and Mollie Weaver. The evening was a benefit for the Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center and the funds raised are earmarked to provide outdoor experiences for underprivileged, physically challenged people. |
