I first met Frank Howell at the Breckenridge Galleries in 1983. Frank asked if I'd like to write an album of original songs about his paintings. I was thrilled to have the opportunity and to wrestle with the task of choosing from the hundreds of lithos and uniques that Frank offered. Frank was an incredibly prolific artist - painting all the time. I fondly remember him painting the most intense uniques on Sunday afternoons while listening to and watching the Denver Broncos on a small television set.
So we've come full circle... We miss Frank Howell but feel his spirit
through his art... which has inspired this music.
